21. Female. Junior. Economics. Not really into losing a lot of weight but want to make exercise a habit. I love food and I really mean that. If I could turn food into a person and marry it, I would. It brings me that much joy. That said, my metabolism is slowing down and moderation is key. I want to live a long life and part of that is being active. So, here's a blog.

If you thought this whole time Nutella is healthy for you then you really need to start reading labels.

I mean, I still eat the fuck out of some Nutella (in moderation… kinda) but just one look at the label makes it pretty clear it isn’t good for you. “Shocked” to hear that it’s nutritionally similar to a candy bar? I doubt it. Some lady thinking it is ok to feed Nutella to her child EVERY DAY for breakfast because “the commercial said it was healthy” but didn’t bother to read the label? That’s just absurd. This lady gets a million dollars for not simply verifying the company’s claim?

I mean, Nutella isn’t doing anything different than the huuuge “healthy” food industry already is. Marketing things like Clif bars and Special K bars and whatever other kind of bars as sufficient meal replacements is all around you. Or the tricky differences between low fat and reduced fat.

If you don’t read labels, its not just Nutella that is deceiving you.
